Many men believe it’s not a meal without meat. Nonetheless, I decided to try my hand at finding something vegetable-friendly, but still every bit as sustaining and fulfilling. These burgers made me realize you don’t need meat to eat a delicious burger. They are tasty and easy to make.
Serves 8

INGREDIENTS
- 30 ounces of black beans
- 2 eggs
- 1 jalapeno
- 2 garlic
- 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ½ cup corn
- 2 avocados, sliced
- 8 buns
- Hot sauce
- Spinach
- Salt & pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- Pulse together jalapeno, garlic, half of the black beans, and salt & pepper in a food processor.
- Remove mixture from food processor and combine in a mixing bowl with remaining black beans, eggs, bread crumbs, tomato sauce, and corn.
- Form into burger-sized patties. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook burgers on each side for about 4 minutes.
- Serve on buns with spinach, hot sauce, and avocado slices.
